Fly by private jet to the slopes
For skiing enthusiasts, the best thing about the departure of summer is the call of the slopes. Getting there fast and in comfort has its appeal if you have limited time to enjoy the crisp mountain air and the apres ski nightlife. This is where the benefits of chartering a private jet really come into their own; put simply we’ll get you closer to your resort, dramatically reducing your travel time, freeing valuable hours for you to do what you love.
Many European ski resorts have smaller private airports situated much closer than commercial airports; having the flexibility to negotiate these shorter runways in a private jet can cut your transfer time in half or more.
Don’t want to waste a minute?
Churchill Aviation can arrange a helicopter transfer to take you directly from the private jet airport straight up to the mountains, meaning you could feasibly get a run in before brunch. When you step off of your private jet we’ll have your helicopter waiting and you can be on your way within 10 minutes of landing at the airport.
Private airports close to popular ski resorts in the Alps
We can arrange tailor-made private travel itineraries to a host of European winter destinations including helicopter transfers. Here is an example of the airports we regularly use for our clients wanting to hit the slopes:
St Moritz, Switzerland
St Gallen, Switzerland
Memorable alpine experience
Speed is one thing, but breathtaking piste views are another advantage to travelling in style. Helicopters can land in small hard to reach places giving you maximum flexibility and convenience to get your skiing holiday off to the best possible start.
What you need to know
Flights to the Alps, one way, from London, will start at around £7,500; depending on how many of you are travelling together the price can be cheaper per head than flying first class on a commercial airline during peak season.
Book as far in advance as you can for greater aircraft choice and availability. Most of the smaller airports that are closer to the popular ski destinations are subject to runway slots in peak season and they’re usually only useable in daylight VFR (visual flight conditions) due to the surrounding mountainous terrain. Don’t worry if you’re booking last minute our experienced team will respond very quickly to your requests and do everything possible to arrange a suitable charter.
Churchill Aviation can advise you on the most appropriate aircraft for your trip depending on your destination, number of passengers and whether you are taking skis and equipment with you.
We closely monitor weather conditions and keep you fully informed of necessary changes to your flight to minimise any disruption to your schedule.
